    On Feb. 1, the 505th Test & Training Group hosted a historic first, Senior Master Sergeant Jacinta Migo, became the first American Samoan woman to be promoted in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. 
  • 505 CCW Annual Awards Ceremony

    The 505th Command and Control Wing, headquartered on Hurlburt Field, Florida, announced their 2020 Annual Awards Ceremony virtually via Zoom on Feb. 11, 2021. The 505th CCW is the U.S. Air Force’s only wing dedicated to operational-level command and control. The wing is made up of a diverse group of Airmen, civilians, and contractors who work on many different tasks, but are all dedicated to taking testing, tactics, and training to the operational level by specializing in command and control in air, space, and cyberspace.

    The Advanced Battle Management System Onramp #2, one of the most extensive joint experiments in recent history with the participation of all the services, including the U.S. Coast Guard, 35 military platforms, 70 industry teams, 65 government teams, spanning 30 geographic locations and four national test ranges concluded its second field test Aug. 31 – Sept. 3, 2020.
  • 505th Communications Squadron holds modified change of command ceremony

    On Friday, June 12th, due to COVID-19 precautions, the 505th Communications Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Florida, released a prerecorded change of command ceremony. The outgoing commander, Major Gilberto Perez, relinquished command to Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Williams. The ceremony was presided over by Colonel Shayne Yorton, commander of the 505th Combat Training Group, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
  • Briggs takes command of Det 1, 605 TES

    TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --Lieutenant Colonel Dameion Briggs assumed command of Detachment 1, 605th Test and Evaluation Squadron (Det 1, 605 TES) from Lt. Col. Scott Gregg during a virtual change of command ceremony at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma, on June 2nd. Lieutenant Colonel Carly Sims, commander of the 605 TES, Hurlburt Field, Florida, presided over the ceremony remotely.
  • Meals on Wheels continues meals to seniors during COVID-19 pandemic, 505 CCW Airmen deliver

    Okaloosa County's Meals on Wheels is an organization that depends on volunteers to prepare, package, and deliver food every day to individuals belonging to the program.  The 505th Command and Control Wing's (CCW) Airmen have proudly been involved with the program and delivering meals for over 15 years.

  • Delivering combat power through C2 training, Hurlburt training continues with COVID-19 mitigation procedures

    For 50 new Air Operations Center Initial Qualification Training (AOCIQT) students, training began with a 14-day restriction of movement (ROM), as the 505th Training Squadron (505 TRS) institutes new mitigation procedures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 while provide mission essential training.
