Not so explosive training
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 18th Munitions Squadron, 3rd MUNS and 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron transport an inert GBU-31 for bomb building training at Kadena Air Base, Japan, Oct. 22, 2024. The training consisted of integrating with the 18th MUNS, learning how to properly inspect and prepare a bomb before attaching a joint direct attack munition guidance tail kit to improve the accuracy of unguided, general-purpose bombs in any weather condition.
