Hurlburt Reserve unit first to use new airport banner to welcome home member

Members of the 706th Fighter Squadron Detachment 1, Hurlburt Field, Fla., wait with a new banner at the Northwest Florida Regional Airport to welcome home Lt. Col. Jim Marshall from his six-month tour in Iraq. Colonel Marshall and 706th FS, Det 1 reservists are fully integrated into regular Air Force operations at Hurlburt Field. The welcome home banner is planned to be erected in the airport lobby. "The civilian-military ties in the Fort Walton Beach area are exceptional, and this banner is merely one example of the extraordinary support the local community here gives its military population" said Lt. Col. Patrick Ryan, 706th FS, Det 1 commander.
