Media Advisory: 505th CCW Change of Command Scheduled for April 17

The 505th Command and Control Wing here will welcome a new commander at a change of command ceremony April l7 at 1:30 p.m. Col. John N.T. Shanahan, the current commander of the 505th CCW, will relinquish command of the Wing to Col. Edward "Tank" McKinzie, who currently serves as the Wing's vice commander. Colonel Shanahan leaves the 505th CCW and Hurlburt Field to command the 55th Wing at Offutt AFB, Neb.
The 505th CCW is a tenant Wing at Hurlburt Field. The 505th CCW is an Air Combat Command Wing, and is aligned under the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Maj. Gen. Stephen Hoog, commander of the USAFWC, will officiate at the change of command ceremony.
