Fraser III, commander of Air Combat Command, uses the Mk-7 Laser Range Finder during a tour of the 705th Combat Training Squadron’s Distributed Mission Operations Center on Pearl Harbor Day, just prior to the start of the classified Pacific-scenario exercise Virtual Flag 11-1. The range finder is part of the Joint Close Air Support Operation Simulator used to train tactical air control party members. VF exercises are conducted four times a year, with one dedicated to coalition warfare.
