The Department of Defense has replaced the Tricare Online Patient Portal with Military Health System GENESIS, improving medical record access and streamlining healthcare services for Air Force Reserve personnel.

“Members will have the ability to look at some aspects of their records,” said Col. Ada M. Collier, 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron commander. “Additionally, when they upload any medical documents, we can update their records within a matter of minutes, decreasing the time by 50%.”

The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal enables members to securely communicate with the 403rd ASTS healthcare team, track updates to their medical records, and view clinical notes and test results.

“The priority is ensuring that members have access,” said Collier. “The Reserve is moving as close as possible to being 100% paperless. That is where the shift is coming from and the direction we are headed.”

The portal is accessible 24/7 from any internet-connected device. Members can log in using their existing Department of Defense Self-Service, or DS, Logon or Common Access Card. Those without a DS Logon must create one by selecting Create New Account and following the instructions.

Members who need access to historical medical records but did not download them before the transition can submit a DD Form 2870 to the 403rd ASTS for assistance.
