WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Airmen from various squadrons in the 445th Airlift Wing participated in a Norwegian foot march hosted by the 88th Security Forces Squadron on April 6, 2024. About 100 participants completed the 18 mile march, carrying backpacks weighing at least 25 pounds all around Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The tradition, dating back to 1915, originated in Norway as a way to ensure the mental and physical fitness of soldiers.
