FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. --   Team 505th became roadside warriors as they made a strike against trash.

Volunteers from the 505th Command and Control Wing picked up roadside trash on James Lee Road Oct. 16 as part of the Adopt-A-County-Road litter control program.

"The wing is part of the community and proud of it," said Master Sgt. Mark Young, the wing's program coordinator. "We like to do our part. This is one way we can contribute."

The wing adopted the road more than a year ago and periodically volunteers gather to make a clean sweep. It took about two hours for the 15 volunteers to clean up the road, which is about a mile long.
