9/29/2011 - HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- Eight new Honorary Commanders joined the 505th Command and Control Wing Sept. 24 as part of Hurlburt Field's 2011-2012 Honorary Commanders Program.

The day began with introductions and a mission briefing at the wing's headquarters. Col. Mustafa Koprucu, 505th CCW commander, Col. John Bunnell, 505th CCW vice commander, one group and four squadron commanders and key staff welcomed the civic leaders.

"The community support the military receives in this area is really outstanding," said Koprucu. "The Honorary Commanders Program is a great way to cultivate vital relationships. We'll provide these leaders a better understanding of Hurlburt's missions and military operations and they'll have direct links for sharing their views on matters of mutual interest."
