The Combined Air and Space Operations Center-Nellis (CAOC-N) is managed and operated by the 505th Operations Squadron (505 OS) at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., as a critical component of the 505th Command and Control Wing. The 505 CCW is a subordinate unit of the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

Purpose
CAOC-N provides a world-class Combined Air and Space Operations Center to produce fully trained joint and multinational command and control warfighters at the operational level of war. The 505 OS accomplishes the CAOC-N mission by training individuals and organizations on command and control processes and systems during multiple joint, coalition and service-focused exercises, operational rehearsals, and experiments using live, virtual and constructive air and space forces.

Mission
The mission of the 505 OS is to conduct advanced and initial qualification training at the operational level of war for air, space, cyber and information operations and to develop tactics, techniques and procedures to assess and integrate irregular warfare activities into joint operations.

Specified Tasks
· Combined Air and Space Operations Center Advanced Training: Train individuals and organizations on AOC processes and systems during multiple joint, coalition and service-focused exercises, operational rehearsals, and experiments using live, virtual and constructive air and space forces 

· Air Support Operations Center (ASOC) Initial Qualification Course: Train concepts, doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures for ASOC personnel to integrate combat firepower in joint operations. 

· Improvised Explosive Device (IED)-Network Defeat: Train intelligence collection management, capabilities, assets, products, dissemination and utilization in the counter insurgency environment, and increase fidelity of IED training threads to ensure air component intelligence, electronic warfare, and information operations are fully integrated into US Army and US Marine Corps training objectives.
