COLONEL JEFFREY S. BURDETT

Colonel Jeffrey S. Burdett is the Commander, 505th Training Group, Hurlburt Field, FL. The mission of the 505th TRG is to train Air Force, joint and coalition personnel in the principles, processes, and systems used to command airpower at the operational-level of war. He is responsible for providing initial, continuation, and advanced training in the Air Operations Center as well as the necessary simulation environment, scenario and control force during service, joint and multi-national exercises.

Colonel Burdett entered active duty from the United States Air Force Academy in 1992. He served in Space Command as a DSCS III Crew Commander, and in Air Education and Training Command as a Basic Training Flight Commander before attending navigator training with the U.S. Navy. As an F-15E Weapon Systems Officer, he has flown combat missions in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, and IRAQI FREEDOM. He has served in numerous operational positions including Director of Staff, Director of Operations, Squadron Commander and AFCENT LNO to NAVCENT. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Assistant Deputy Director of Requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command.
